Pastors Richard and Connie Wilson were in Missouri conducting their "Victory is Now" radio and evangelistic ministry when the Holy Spirit directed them to return to Baton Rouge. The first service of Lighthouse Christian Center was held January 5, 1992, at the Bellemont Motor Hotel. By Easter Sunday, LCC had moved into a building on South Choctaw. A year later saw a relocation to the present building in the heart of Baton Rouge behind the Cortana Wal-Mart on Harry Drive. Services were held in temporary quarters upstairs while renovations were begun downstairs. By July, 1993 children's church moved upstairs and the main service relocated to our beautiful and uniquely designed sanctuary on the first floor. There is none like it in this area.

At our church, the Word of faith is taught along the lines of the ministries of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and Kenneth Hagin. Pastor Richard has been preaching the Word for over 30 years. Early in his ministry, he founded and became president of his own Bible college. Pastor Connie has been writing and singing prophetic, Holy Ghost-inspired songs since she was a child. God has specially combined their multi-talents into a most unique ministry in which hundreds have been saved, healed and delivered during countless anointed meetings throughout Missouri, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

In January of 1995 they began their television outreach of "Victory is Now" which has become one of the most professionally produced and highly acclaimed ministries on local cable television. Worship and praise services begin at 10 a.m. Sunday mornings and the School of the Believer meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Pre-schoolers meet at 10 a.m. and Children's Church is at 11 a.m. A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers.
