Family K9 is in the process of their largest expansion to date. Plans are under way to construct and open a new and expanded facility to be known as Family K9 One Stop Dog Shop. This new venture will be unlike anything currently in Baton Rouge. We will become a true one stop shop exclusively for dogs. We will offer for sale any and all services or products a dog owner could need, all under one roof. At the present time Family K-9 offers all phases of training for the canine and the dog owner alike. Training includes basic and advanced obedience, agility course, basic and advanced personal protection, area guard, poison proofing and any custom training required by the owner. Family K9 One Stop Dog Shop has sales of dog food, dog equipment, grooming services, boarding services, trained dog sales, and diplomat escort and security services.

It is important that your canine receive the proper nutrition from a puppy through its senior years. There will be a wide selection of puppy food and adult dog food available. Much effort will be made to have our management and representatives of the manufactures team together to supply the best selection of dog foods in all price ranges available for your canine. All other supplies and equipment necessary for a happy and healthier canine will be available at our Family One-Stop Dog Shop. Once again the very best selection of all items will be available due to the teamwork between our staff and representatives of manufacturers.

We all know that proper grooming of your dog is a health factor as well as having a canine that "looks good". Family K-9 plans to have an experienced staff on hand to meet these needs. Bathing, brushing, de-fleeing, and toenail cutting will be some of the services offered for your pet. Our service will cater from everything from the average clip job to show dog grooming.

From time to time we all have the opportunity to be away from home either for one day or several days. During our time away, we must have someone take the responsibility of caring for our canine as this is one species of animal that needs to be cared for on a daily basis. Family K-9 plans to offer on-site boarding facilities to our customers at reasonable rates. Our trained staff will be experienced in handling all the needs of the dogs boarded in our kennels. Dogs will be given one-on-one personal attention and the kennel will follow all current local and state guidelines and regulations. There will also be sophisticated cameras to monitor these precious canines 24 hours per day and on-site tours of our kennels will be offered to our customers on a daily basis.

As we begin supplying our customers with products for their canines, there may be specific medical problems that their dogs may experience from time to time. What better way to deal with these problems than to have a veterinary on-site for all of your pet's health concerns? Family K-9 One-Stop Dog Shop plans to have an experienced, full-time veterinary on hand to meet these needs. He will provide his own staff; however, the staff with Family K-9 will be readily available to assist the veterinarian when needed. Another important service to be offered is the pick-up and delivery of pets that will be handled through the retail store for needed veterinary services.

Identification (Microchip) business will also be available in our future plans for expansion. There will be sophisticated Microchip equipment at the site along with a registry agent who is experienced in his field.

In addition, our future plans also call for diplomat escort and security services. Specialized training services for public and private sectors will include man-dog teams for estate, personal security business, and visiting dignitary escort services with limousines.

We plan to have our new operation open by the Summer of 1998. By the fall we should have the entire operation fully operational. We will cater exclusively to the canine market.
